Mary's New Adventure

Who knew I would be leaving the country so soon? At the beginning of the spring semester, my professors mentioned and annouced an opportunity for 8 possible summer internships in China. That grabbed my attention and after the written application, interviews and waiting for an answer I have landed a summer internship in Shanghai working in the sales and marketing department for a trading and manufacturing company called Forcome (www.forcome.com ). The website gives a small overview of the products I will be working with and creating marketing strategies to sell their products internationally and through E-Commerce. I am currently working on market research as “pre-work” before I arrive to work on June 4th. I am very excited for this opportunity and ready to go see more of the world. As the semester comes to an end, there is so much to prepare for! I have created part 2 so you can follow me on my two month adventure to China. I will be posting photos, travels and my work experiences at my company. It will be an interesting and rewarding trip. I will post more about my travel preparations and getting ready to leave for the summer. My plane departs May 31st, it will be here before I will know it!
